We did the first half of Taylor's session right after her family pics (see the post below), and the second half the next evening. Taylor is just beautiful, and we did so many outfits and locations...there are so many great ones I had a very hard time narrowing them down, and an even harder time narrowing down my faves for the blog!
Gotta love the laughing pictures! :)
Here's Coco again! :)
Hope you love them Taylor! Thanks for letting me do your senior photos! :)
Thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday on Sunday, I really appreciate everyone's sweet thoughts! My kids and Johnny made me breakfast in bed on my birthday and gave me gifts in the morning before church, then we went to my parents' for lunch that day and spent a nice afternoon just hanging out. Ava was so excited to watch me blow out my candles! Then after church that night we had a fellowship, and my youth group had decorated the hall with streamers and balloons and had a cake. Johnny had managed to smuggle a cake home from Walmart in the Yukon on Saturday without me knowing! Isn't that amazing? I was impressed, actually! :)Here's me with all my kiddos on my birthday...they're the best! :)
Johnny got my treadmill all assembled, so now I just have to start feeling better so I can use it! He tested it out today, and shook the whole house running...hope I don't shake it that bad! ha ha
Have a great Tuesday!

The Martin family
This session was a combo family/senior session, we started off with the family and then continued on with the daughter's senior photos (which I am not done with but will be on here soon!) I thought I'd go ahead and post some from the family session. They have a very cooperative dog named Coco, who was very calm and good during the pictures! Dad's back was hurt, so we were pretty limited on poses, but we managed! :) Here are the Martins:Aren't they a cute family? Thanks guys for a great session!
Today we went out to eat and shopping for my birthday (which is tomorrow, Sept. 28th...unfortunately I will be thirty...) and I mostly shopped for my kids! Maddie Kate has outgrown a lot of her last year's fall/winter clothes, and Cohen just needs new everything of course! I did get a treadmill though, which I am excited about, because now I can run whenever I want! I won't have to depend on Johnny being home with the kids or running in the daytime or whether it's raining etc. We just got a DVR this summer, so I am excited about watching my favorite shows while I run. I have finally lost some weight doing the running, and I don't want to give up now! I still want to lose at least 10 more lbs...or 15...Isn't that just how it goes, we always want to look like we did at 17! Which is pretty darn tough after having 3 babies and being as short as I am! :) ha!
Anyway, hope everyone has a great Sunday tomorrow on my big 3-0 Birthday! :)

Antonio's Senior Session
This session was the first time I had ever taken photos at our local ice cream place, everyone's favorite...the Custard Stand! It is absolutely the BEST place to get ice cream on the face of the planet! You can't beat it! (Did you know they have a website? It's www.thecustardstand.com. Maybe Matt would like some pictures for his site...? lol)
Anyway, Antonio wanted to go to the Custard Stand for some of his senior pictures, and I don't think I have ever laughed more during a session! There were people everywhere, of course, and I think he got a bit embarrassed, but it was so fun & we couldn't stop laughing. His sneak peek photo (that I posted a few weeks ago) was taken there, too. Here's Antonio:
Thanks for a great session!
I am sick today! I have a cough that has been slowly growing all week, and last night and this morning I started having aches and my eyes were hot (I'm guessing I had a temp) last night. I am really hoping Cohen and Ava don't get it, they'll be miserable. I took ibuprofen and I do feel better, so maybe it's not gonna get me down.
The topic of what everyone is going to be for Halloween has been a hot one at our house the past week or so. Maddie Kate has a great idea for herself, but I won't share yet and give it away! I was looking for some new tennis shoes for Ava on eBay yesterday and I ran into a Dora costume. Not too original, but Dora is her fave right now, so I showed it to her. She was SO excited when she saw it! It has the black wig and everything, and I asked her if she would wear the black hair, and she says she will. I don't know if I believe her, because we had an ordeal with Maddie Kate and a black wig when she was 3! She was Snow White that year, and I searched high and low for a wig for her (seriously, I remember driving everywhere!) because that long blond hair just didn't look like Snow White! I finally found one, and when we put it on she cried so much that we had give up to take it off! She went that year as Snow White with Sleeping Beauty's hair! I just went on a search for the pictures of that and it took forever, but I finally found them on an old email I had sent out with the pics attached. It's from 2004, and I took it with one of those ancient digital cameras that you actually put a floppy disk into! (this was before I ever had a digital SLR!) So please ignore the insanely bad quality!
Here she is HATING the wig and bawling:
And now so very happy that I let her take it off:
I love those pictures, I'm so glad I was able to find them! And so glad my digital skills are a tad bit better these days, lol!
Anyway, this all makes me very wary about Ava actually wearing a wig for Halloween at age 3, but she sure won't look like Dora with her wild auburn hair! She was looking at the costume on eBay again this morning, and she marched into our room and said, "Dad, let's talk about this whole clothes thing..." and proceeded to inform him all about the Dora outfit she is wanting. She's too funny!

Jordan's Senior Pictures
The Seniors this year are keeping me in the "firsts"! This was the first time I have ever gone to Sesser's Football Field for pictures. I don't know why no one hasn't wanted to do it before, because it was great for photos! It was a bit bright, because it was the middle of the afternoon, but I think the pictures turned out great anyway! Here's Jordan:
Thanks Jordan for a great session! Hope you like your pictures!

MY FAMILY pictures! :)
As I'm sure you noticed with the new blog header that showed up last week, my own family finally had family photos taken! :) I actually had to put us on the calendar several weeks ahead of time to be sure that we would have a day planned to do it, or else it never would have happened! With how busy my business has been lately and Johnny being in the middle of football season, it was almost impossible! My sister, Alisa, returned the favor for me doing her engagement photos, and she took them for us while her fiancee waved and jumped around and tried to get Cohen to look and smile for us! Cohen was very serious the whole time we did pictures, he was tired...but he didn't cry or anything, so I was okay with serious! I am VERY happy with the pictures, my kids did great, and I am so excited to get some new big prints made, and definitely a new canvas print to go over my dining room table. Those of you who have been to my home know how I like my pictures...BIG! And the family pictures currently on the wall do not have Cohen in them, so it is time to update!
Anyway, here are some of my favorites from our session!
I love this one above, but this is the face Cohen is making when you look at it up close:
Goofy kid...just like his dad...ha ha!
Above: We have a picture when it was just the 4 of us that we LOVE where we are all looking at baby Ava. So we tried it again with Cohen... I love this, but Cohen just looks annoyed!
Above: Here we decided to all be serious with Cohen!
Some serious attitude in this one! Ava looks awfully mean!
Our jumping storyboard...or in Cohen's case...wishing he could jump...
Thanks Sweed for doing our session! I love them! :)
