Baby Leila

This session was actually a joint session with the last family session I posted a few days ago. Leila was such a good baby the whole time, during the family pictures and her own 1 year photos, I was amazed! I don't know that I have ever met such a cooperative baby, especially for that length of time!! Anyway, here she is!
Look at that sweet face!! :)
Above: look at this little pose with her hand on her hip...!
Thanks for letting me take Leila's photos, she is so adorable!

Tomorrow is JUNE already, can you believe it?!

Sneak Peek of my Woodlawn Sr Rep!

Fun Family Session!

I finished these up earlier today, but haven't had a chance yet to blog them, so here they are, in the middle of the night! Maddie Kate is having her birthday sleepover with her buddies, and they are full of sugar and not ready for bed yet...I'm falling over in my chair with heavy eyelids...but they are still going strong, so I'm blogging to keep myself awake!
This was one of the funnest family sessions that I think I have ever had, and I am so pleased at how the pictures turned out. They were all very cooperative and ready to do the fun stuff (like jumping in a meadow), and that makes for great photos! Here is the Jenkins family:
Above: Isn't this just how it works once there's a little one in the family!?
Above: This one is the cover of their new CD! lol

Thanks for letting me photograph your family! Leila's pics coming soon! :)

Well, I'm gonna try to get these girls to settle down so I can get some sleep! :)

Senior Rep for Waltonville, Daniel!

I'm excited to introduce, Daniel, my first guy Senior Rep! I have actually known Daniel since he was born, we attended the same church until I went to college. He was a little boy then. But here he is all grown up!
The dog did a good job! You never know if animals will cooperate, but Jake did just fine! All they had to do was say his name and he would look!
I love the wheelie shot!
Thanks Daniel (and mom) for doing the Senior Rep thing for me! I really appreciate it and thank you for coming up with new locations for your shoot! It was great! :)

An Ava sidenote: The other day Ava was playing with the phone and Maddie Kate said, "Ava, don't call China!" and my stubborn little Ava said, "I WILL call China!" and she pushed some buttons on the phone, held it to her ear and said, "Hello, China, this is Ava Hollis."

Everyone have a great Memorial Day weekend! :)

Two little sweeties

I know, I know, you're thinking it's insane that I'm doing 2 posts in one day... well, I guess I'm on a roll!
My session with these two little girls was a wild one! :) They were so cute, but pretty reserved at first! But once they came out of their shell, they were out and running their mommies ragged! I chased, ran, spun in circles, anything I could to try to catch a few good shots. It was wild, but I think we got some cute ones, hopefully the mom's will too! Here are Carrigan and Lily:
So serious! But so cute!
This one looks like Carrigan is telling Lily a big story!
I really like this one of Lily watching her buddy.
Smiling when Mommy threw her in the air! I love the flare sunburst over her shoulder!
Thanks for letting me take their pictures, it was a fun and crazy session! :)

I was really sad this morning when I heard on the radio about Steven Curtis Chapman's family's tragedy. If you haven't heard about it: He and his wife have 3 biological children and 3 adopted daughters from China. The littlest one just turned 5, and yesterday one of their sons accidentally backed over her in the driveway and she passed away. The song that he wrote that had been a hit in recent months, "Cinderella", was about her. The song was about her growing up and him missing her as a child, but now it takes on all new meaning. I have loved that song so much, but I don't think I have ever heard it without crying, and now it will be worse! If you want to read more about it or leave condolences for their family, click here and here.

Steve & Jessica's wedding

This wedding was a fun one to photograph, particularly because the bride is so sweet and the groom is so funny! My assistants and I laughed a lot that day, and I actually laughed quite a bit while doing the editing, remembering funny things that happened or were said. It was a good time! :) Here are Jessica and Stevie...oops, I mean, Steve... :)
Thanks guys for allowing me to be a part of your special day!! It was very fun! Your online viewing will be available later today! :)

This month has been insane for our family with all the extra things that happen in May, such as graduations, ball practices, and my daughter's birthday (we haven't even had her party yet!) and all the senior rep sessions that I crammed in at the last minute. Now I will be getting back to work on some sessions! So if you are currently waiting on proofs from a session this month, I thank you for your patience! They will be available soon! :)
