I have some wedding photos to show off! Grant & Karissa are so cute and fun! I have never seen anyone shove the cake in each others faces as much as they did! :) They currently reside in Colorado, where I believe they said Grant is playing baseball for a minor league team...pretty cool! The above photo was right when they went into the foyer after the ceremony was over. I love it!
And here are a few taken by my assistant Heather:
I know I always say this, but thank you so much for allowing me to have a part in your special day! Good luck with the baseball thing! :)
Last night our school held a Dr. Seuss Reading Night, so I dressed my girls up all silly. I guess they are supposed to be Whos! Their Daddy took them and they had a great time!Happy Leap Day!

Wow, I forgot...
...how tiring having a new baby can be! Cohen sleeps SO much (we get excited when we get to see his eyes!) , and has only been getting up once during the night the last several nights, which has been great, but last night he was up practically all night. I think his tummy hurt. He and I slept on the couch from about 4 am till around 7 when Johnny got Maddie Kate up for school. And as you know, I can't catch up on sleep during the day, because Ava would probably burn the house down if I did! :) Oh well! Someday I will look back and wish they were tiny again, so I'm going to try not complain about it now! :)Friday night, my boys (Johnny & Cohen) took me out to Red Lobster for Valentine's Day! We couldn't bear to leave Cohen yet, but the girls stayed with Grandma Vickie. (My mom came to help out with things for several days after Cohen was born, and then Johnny's mom came. THANKS MOMS!!!!) It was nice to go on a date! Sunday Cohen made his first appearance at church. It was fun to finally get to show him off! Monday was President's Day, and Johnny & Maddie Kate had the day off of school, and Johnny wanted to introduce the baby to his grandparents who live near Edwardsville, IL. So we drove over there for the afternoon and spent some time with them. I think they were all pretty happy to get to meet Cohen, and the girls had fun playing with Johnny's cousin's kids.I can't stop taking pictures of this new little boy! We took some more newborn pictures on Saturday and Sunday! (9 and 10 days old) It's nice being the photographer, because I can just set my stuff up and leave it for whenever he's in the right mood or whenever I want to, I just have a little session! My sister, Kimberly and her husband Tony came over Sunday afternoon, and she helped me get some of these great shots (she assists me at weddings, I'm starting to think an all the time assistant might be awesome!) . This last picture Cohen is lying on a blanket that she made! It was the first blanket she had crocheted (knitted? I don't know the difference).
Well, I have lots to do, I am trying to get caught up on things around the house and for JHP. Don't forget about the Cohen February Special, if you are thinking of ordering some extras photos from your session or need to place your original order, this is a great time to do that with 10% off. See details on sidebar or below!
I am booking sessions for March/April if anyone is wondering when I am starting work again! I have several already, so let me know if you want to schedule your date!

More Cohen and the February JHP Special Offer
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Our family has had a fun day giving each other gifts and just hanging out together. (Which we have been doing a lot lately with the new baby and all the wonderful snow days we have had!) A few days ago, Ava was running around with her crazy messy hair, and her Daddy told her she looked homeless. She smiled real big with her dimples and said, "I don't look homeless, I look FAB-U-LOUS!"
I have a few more picture of Cohen to share. I was falling asleep last night when I was posting and I missed a few of them, and I edited a few more today, so I can't help but show him off some more! (It will be a regular occurrence for awhile I'm sure! :)
Daddy loves the football pics! This football is tiny, but it practically covers him up!
My parents got him this little fleece camo hat, and gave it to Johnny for Christmas. It has been hanging on our Yukon's rear view mirror ever since! I'm so glad he is finally here to wear it!
We went for Cohen's 1st dr checkup yesterday, and he weighed 7 lbs and 15 oz. She said everything about him looks perfect, so we are so happy!

HE'S HERE!
Sorry to everyone who has been checking for updates! I have been very busy with my new son!
As many of you know, our baby was born last Thursday, February 7th at 2:47 pm. He weighed 8 lbs and 3 oz and was 21 1/4 inches long. We named him Johnny Mark Cohen Hollis. I never thought I would name my child such a long name, but we decided it would be sweet if he was named after both of his grandpas. Johnny's dad's name is Johnny, too, and my dad's name is Mark. We just liked the name Cohen (recommended to us by some girls in our youth group!) and that is what we will call him.
Everything went wonderfully with my labor, they started the pitocin and broke my water at 8:30, and everything progressed pretty quickly and smoothly. I am SO very thankful for epidurals though! There were 2 women who had been induced that morning before I was, and they were ahead of me in line to get an epidural. I had to wait an hour from the time I was ready to get the epidural until the anesthesiologist could get to me! That wasn't awful, but it wasn't fun either! Just feeling that much made me have SO much respect for everyone who has managed to have babies without drugs. My mom had all 6 of us without drugs, and I must say, she is tougher than I give her credit for! Anyway, once I was feeling happy with the epidural, my daughters came in to visit me, and several other family members. My sister Alisa took a million pictures of everything for me, and I kept saying,"What are you doing?" and she said, "You'll like it later." and she is right! I have lots of beautiful details of the day, and I think I might just make myself a flush mount album of it! Here are some favorites of the big day:This is the last picture when there were only 4 of us.
Dr. Walters, Cohen, & Johnny
Maddie Kate & Ava meeting Cohen
Maddie Kate just cried and cried. She loved finally getting to see him.
This is the first picture of the new family, all 5 of us!
Here he is, his first close-up!
Here are my 3 children! Maddie Kate and Ava are wearing Hannah Montana t-shirts that Cohen gave them! The next few pictures are from Cohen's first unofficial photo shoot in the hospital. Johnny brought along his teeny tiny baby sized football, and we had to take a few of Cohen with it.
He has already changed SO much! I feel like his face doesn't look nearly so fat & squishy as it does in this picture. He was 1 day old here. This is big sister Ava helping give baby Cohen a bottle.
My sister came over on Sunday afternoon before she had to head back to college, and she did a little family photo shoot for us. I have a few edited, so I thought I would share. I am so happy we were able to do this so soon after he was born!Well, I haven't slept much lately, and here I am up! I need to be in bed, sleeping when this little guy is, so off I go! I'll post the February special in Cohen's honor sometime tomorrow! :)
Goodnight!
