A wedding post...

I just finished this wedding tonight! I am so happy to have it done before I have the baby tomorrow! :)
This wedding was so pretty! It was Christmas/Winter themed, so everything was red and green and snowflakes! I loved it, and the details were so beautiful! Here are some of my favorites from Ashleigh & David's big day!And here are a few by my assistant, Heather:
Thanks to Ashleigh & David for allowing me to have a part in your special day, it was SO pretty and a lot of fun!

Sometime after I get home from the hospital (in a few days) I will be posting a special in honor of my new son! So check back for details on that, and also of course, pictures of my baby!! I'm sure we'll have his first official photo shoot as soon as we get home! :)

Well, it's looking like...

..I'm definitely going to have a baby between now and Thursday! Yeah! I am so happy! I had a Dr appt today and the Dr says everything is prime for labor right now. He did say if I want he will induce me on Thursday, and of course I said "Yes!" because I really don't want to wait any longer. I do want to be clear though, it is not because there are any problems, he's just a nice doctor who doesn't make you go a full 40 weeks when you are all uncomfy like I am! He was willing do induce me when I was pregnant with Ava, but she came the day before, so I didn't have to be. It would be fine with me if that happened this time too, that way I won't stay up all night the night before and be all nervous! This is me on Sunday, I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant!
My girls enjoyed the snow this weekend. Johnny took them out to play for awhile on Friday when Maddie Kate had a snow day. They all worked hard on this snow igloo.Johnny took these, and I think they are so cute!

Here are the girls at the Hannah Montana 3d Movie this weekend. We had to drive over to O'Fallon to see it, but we really wanted to take Maddie Kate to it since we hadn't been able to get real concert tickets. I think it was probably much better anyway than going to a concert and having to sit a million miles away from the stage. The 3D part was really neat, too. Hannah would hold out her microphone or her hand to you, and there would be confetti falling around you, or the drummer would throw his sticks in the air and it would feel like they were gonna hit you in the face! Maddie Kate loved it and sang along to all the songs! The 3D glasses were HUGE though! They were too big for me, even! Ava really couldn't keep them on at all. They should really make children's sizes, it was silly. But the only thing I didn't like was the Jonas Brothers' pants! lol! They were all tight and yucky! I guess I'm not cool, but I do not like that style, it is very unattractive for boys to have skintight pants on! They looked way curvier than Miley Cyrus!
I took these with my little point and shoot that I got to keep in my purse. I am not too savvy with it, as you can see!

I want to assure the 2 brides who are still waiting on their proofs that I have not forgotten you in my baby madness! I am working on your pictures and will get them online as soon as I possibly can, and your proofs as soon as I can get them after that. Please forgive me if there is a tiny hold up in the form of a baby boy! :) Here is a little preview for each of you, Ashleigh & Karissa:
You girls are beautiful! Thank you for your patience! :)

First Engagement Session of 08

This was my first engagement session of the year, and also the last session I did before I began my maternity leave from sessions! This couple is so happy and cute! They couldn't stop smiling! :) Here are Jared and Erin:It was great to meet you guys! I'm looking forward to your wedding in June! Thanks so much!

We are taking Maddie Kate to see the Hannah Montana 3D Concert Movie tonight! She is so excited, you'd think we were going to a real concert! She's been planning what to wear, and she has put together a funky layered outfit, very Hannah Montana! It's very cute. I am hoping Ava will be cooperative though, because pretty much every movie we have been to in the past year with her, Johnny has ended up out in the car with her because she's too loud. But she likes the Hannah Montana TV show, and since I'm assuming most of the movie will be loud concert music, maybe it won't matter if she's loud! :)
I was 38 weeks preggo as of yesterday, to read about the development click here.

All in the family Session

I had the opportunity to photograph my uncle, aunt, and my 3 cousins, and we had fun! His kids are closer to my kids age than they are to me! But my daughters call them their cousins, which I guess they are actually 3rd cousins, or however that cousin thing goes. Anyway, I think the pictures turned out cute, they are a sweet family!
Who doesn't love a good dog pile!? :)

The kids said they had a picture of themselves like this when they were younger, and they always rotate the photo so a different one is facing the viewer every day! I thought that was funny! Thanks guys, I hope you enjoy your photos!

8 Day old Session

I loved taking these pictures, and I love how they turned out! Addelyn was so adorable and sweet and cooperative, and didn't even cry about being naked, which I couldn't believe! She was so alert, too, looking right at me! She only slept at the beginning and the end of the session, mostly when her parents held her.
I had a hard time narrowing down my favorites, there are loads more that I love! She was 8 days old when we took these pictures, and I believe that is the youngest baby I have ever done photos of. And of course, I am all about the babies right now, so it was exciting for me thinking about my little guy who is coming soon! :)

I'm fat! :)

Don't have any pictures to post today, because I haven't had any time to work on any! Hopefully tomorrow!

I went to the Dr today and he said everything looks great, and that I need to try my best to stay well! Which I am definitely doing! I am lysoling everything and sleeping with my daughter to stay away from my very sick husband! Hopefully he will get better very soon so I can stop worrying about NOT having the baby, and worry about HAVING the baby! :) I will be 38 weeks preggo on Thursday.

I do have a few funny quotes from my girls though! A few days ago I was getting comfy in my recliner on the sectional, and I said, "Maddie Kate, I am really fat!" and she said, "I know!" and I said, "What am I gonna do?" and she said, "Stay calm." I couldn't stop laughing that my 6 year old said that to me! Then that night I was putting the girls to bed (they have recently started sharing a room and a bed so the baby can have his own room) and I laid down between them. I said, "Can I just sleep here between you guys?" and at the exact same time they both yelled, "NO! YOU'RE TOO FAT!"

At this point...

it's hard to think about anything except the baby with his feet jammed up under my ribs! Ahhh!

Johnny is very sick again, I took him to the Dr this evening, and he has the flu. Not the kind that makes you throw up, but the aches, fever, coughing, congestion, dizzy, miserable feeling kind of flu! The dr was very concerned, and wants me to call my dr first thing in the morning to see what they might do for me to prevent me from getting it! (I have a check up tomorrow anyway, so I'll see what he says!) I have been looking on the internet to see what trouble it might cause if I got the flu while pregnant, and apparently, the main concern is the fever, and most of the time you get hospitalized! Which I really only want to be hospitalized for having a baby, not for having the flu AND having a baby! So anyone who wouldn't mind to say a prayer for me NOT to get the flu, I would appreciate it! Also, I really am hoping the girls don't get it, we SO don't need this right now! There's enough going on!

So if you are waiting on previews, I am sorry, I will do the best I can to get things done for you, but if things start getting bad (or should I say worse?) , I do hope you will forgive me! :)

This week is the opposite of last, because last weeks edits were dominated by pictures of Senior boys, but this week is all little girls photos! ( I had another little girl the evening after these, but her mommy doesn't want any pics posted on the internet, and that's okay, but it's a first for me!) I finished these pics up on Sunday, but am just now getting around to blogging a few of my favorites! These are Mylie's 1 year old birthday pictures, and she did SO good! The best she has ever done, she was SO happy that day!Her mom and I had so much fun dressing her up! She was all smiles that day, and so sweet in her little tutu. She also had a lot of fun with that cake! Thanks for letting me take her one year pictures, it was wonderful!

Senior boys...

...is what it's been all about the last few days! This senior actually attends high school in Chicago! But his parents live around here, and his mom works with mine, so I photographed him while he was home on break. Here's Nobie:
It was freezing when we did these outdoor shots! My eyes were watering and my nose was frozen, but he managed not to look cold somehow! Thanks for a great session, I hope you are able to view your online gallery with your mom when she visits this weekend, and I hope you like your images! :)

I am officially 37 weeks preggo today, so either way you look at it, I'm having a baby within the next 3 weeks! If you want to learn more about a 37 week old baby, click here.
