8 mini-sessions...!

I had the opportunity to photograph the candidates for Sesser Homecoming Queen, Prince, and Princess. (for those of you who don't know, it's not a dance, "Homecoming" is what they call the carnival at the park in June) We met up at the park, and two candidates didn't make it for their pictures, so we had only 8 instead of 10. I did 8 mini-sessions in about an hour and 45 minutes! They turned out well I think! I went though my edits and tried to chose my favorite from each session. So here they are, most of the candidates...!
(this last little guy had not been feeling well, had just woken up from a nap, and a kid had punched him at daycare that day...so he had had a rough day before we were trying to take his picture! He's so cute! Poor guy!!)

Good luck to all of you kids! Everyone else: go buy a ticket from one of these kids and support Sesser Homecoming and try to win that trip to Hawaii! :)

Family Session

We just went hunting in the campground area by the lake to find a spot for this session. There are so many pretty places out by the lake, I need to use them more!! These little boys were so busy, it was tough to keep up! But we got several cute shots of them just being kids, and that's what it's all about!

I love these storyboards! I had all these cute & silly close ups of both of the boys, I couldn't stand not to put them together like this! Thanks for a great session! It was great to meet you guys! :)

This morning Ava was telling me something about when she was "a little girl". I said, "Ava, you're still a little girl!" and she said, "Mom, you're a big girl." I said, "yes, I guess I am." and she said, "Because you pee in the potty a LOT!"

Sneak Peek-a-palooza!

The title comes from a comment one of my readers left last time I posted several sneak peeks at once...I thought it was funny, and that is pretty much what this is...again! Here are tiny peeks at the sessions/wedding that I am currently working on! Here we go!
First, the Klimek Family:
Whitney & Ben get married!
Karlee, Kassidy, & Klaire...Ten day old Brennan...
And one of Erica, from Erica & Anthony's Wedding Reception... (wedding was in Mexico! I didn't do the destination pics...:)

Quite a variety... that's what makes this job so much fun!! I also have a pile of Sesser Homecoming Prince & Princess pictures that I took at the park, but it was 8 mini-sessions...so I'm not doing peeks of those, we'll do that another day! :)

We are going to be out of town for a few days visiting Johnny's parents, so if you need to talk to me during the next day or two, you can reach me by email, or leave me a message on the home phone, I will get back to you when I return. Thanks!

8th grade graduate session & the usual Ava silliness

I'm always loving it when I can catch people laughing! :) If I didn't know better I would have thought she was a Senior! Here are a few of my favorites (there are a few others in an earlier sneak peek) from Autumn's session:

Thanks Autumn for a great session, hope you enjoy your pictures!

I figure if I talk about it on my blog, I will have to keep it up, so here's my little running deal! I have completed week one of the Couch to 5K plan that can be found here at CoolRunning.com. Actually on day one Johnny ran me a bit harder than this required you to do, and I am glad I am taking it a bit slower now! It was rough that first day! But then I talked to Kellie and she said, "Oh you need to do the training program at Cool Running!" and I'm much happier starting out like this. It doesn't kill me! Hopefully I can keep it up. So far Johnny and I have been running together, so that's nice. He has been going ahead and running faster than me though, since mine starts with 5 minutes of walking, he's practically already run a mile by then! :)

Yesterday morning we ran and the kids were all still asleep, and Johnny had to go to football training/weight lifting (whatever it is he does!) so I hopped in the shower. When I got out there was Ava, wearing no pants, and saying, " I opened the doors and taked out the lotion..." so I went to see what she had done, and in the girls bathroom, she had gotten a full bottle of Maddie Kate's conditioner and poured it all over her jammie pants and the floor. The puddles on the floor were HUGE! and the puddle on the pants was huger. So she does this weird stuff and then tells on herself...I'm not sure I understand this kid!!! She is so funny though! Yesterday I was fixing her hair and she was looking at the scrapes on her knees from falling on the concrete earlier in the week. She said something about salt and mustard in her knee, and then she made a very sad face and said, "Oh no, now I'm gonna have to get a new leg!!"

Have a great weekend!!

Brothers & Sister Session

These kids did a great job getting their pictures done, and what little cuties! The littlest one hadn't gotten his nap that day, so Mom got a bit stressed trying to cheer him up, but I think going to the park really helped him out! We got lots of cute, happy shots! Here are Dalton, Dacey, & Drew:Thanks so much for a great session!

May was a very busy and fun month for our family. Here's a little bit of what we've been up to lately!

Above: this is Cohen sitting in his new Bumbo seat! He loves it! He's sitting in the garage watching his daddy wash the car!

Senior Rep for Woodlawn, Jase!

So far, my Senior Reps (or their moms!) are doing a good job recruiting other reps for me! I think it's time we called it a day on the reps though, since it is already June!! I'm interested to see how this rep thing works out...and if I do it again next year it will be earlier, so if you are interested in doing the rep thing for me next year, lets be thinking about March/April for those photos!
Here's Jase:
Thanks Jase for being a Senior Rep for me!

Thanks to all my reps! You guys are great! :)

Tonight Maddie Kate went to the Cardinals game with my sister. She was so excited, she loves the Cardinals. She'll watch them on tv, even when Johnny isn't! She has a Pujols t-shirt and everything! I'm just amazed, that's more of a sports fan than I have ever been! (No offense everyone in my town!:)

I did something this morning that I haven't done in ages...I ran a mile! Well, I ran and walked and ran and walked...because I am not too runner savvy! My friend Kellie was telling me about how her sis-in-law has been running and how great she looks, and it has inspired her to start running, so I figure I'll give it a shot. I don't want to look back in a year or two and still be wishing I had lost the baby weight!! I really stink at it, but I'm willing to try...so here we go! Johnny ran with me this morning, he wasn't really sweating or out of breath at all when we were done. I was the opposite...I was red-faced and panting, it took awhile to stop feeling like jelly-legs! I can already feel it in the backs of my legs, I am gonna be so sore tomorrow!

I will try to post some of Maddie Kate's birthday pictures soon!
