Lauren's Second Senior Session & an Announcement!

Well, after much weather difficulties, Lauren and I finally managed a somewhat sunny day for her senior photos. She and I met up at Mitchell Museum in Mt. Vernon for the second try at some senior pictures for her.However it was pretty cold and a bit windy! But Lauren was brave and pretended she wasn't cold, and we did get some great images, and some pretty fall leaves. Here's Lauren:

Lindsay & Caitlin's Senior Portraits

This was the first time I have ever taken photos of senior twins! So fun! I sure wish we had gotten outside, but it was cold and windy that day, so we stuck to indoor pictures. Their mom is planning on doing another shoot in the spring when it's pretty outside, so I'm excited about that! This was fun to do, getting to come up with poses for them together was my favorite!

Quick Ava story: Tonight she was taking some of Cohen's baby toys that link together and sticking them in her nose. I said, "Ava, you look like a bull!" and she said, "Mom, I'm a drawer!"
And this is just one I thought was so cute of my kids! This was a pile of leaves my dad made for my kids on Thanksgiving weekend. Cohen obviously hated it!

Hillary's Senior Pictures

Hillary may be the "farthest away" senior I have ever photographed! She lives an hour and a half away (or so) and found me on the internet! I am always interested to see how people find me here in lil' ol' Sesser! Anyway, she got out of school early and came to meet up with me so we could do some outdoor photos. Unfortunately, it was raining a little, so we didn't get to do much outside, but we did what we could quickly, and I'm glad we did, because I love her outdoor pictures! There was a big dog in an SUV near where we were shooting, and it barked and growled and scared us to death!!

Ava has been on a roll lately! She has been saying so many funny things! Like tonight, I asked her where her Daddy was, (not realizing he was just in the other room) and she said,"He's outside, working on my rollercoaster." Where does it come from?
I think I have mentioned before how we have been trying to teach Ava the concept of "obeying". I think this is a very heavily taught subject in her Sunday School class right now too, because every week she comes home with a paper about "obeying"! Well, the other day, she had been being pretty bad, and getting into lots of trouble, so I was holding her and making her look me in the eye while I went over once again, who the "bosses" are and who are not the bosses. Then I made her repeat it back to me. I said sternly, "Now, who are the bosses?" and she said in a teary voice, "Daddy and Mommy." I said, "Who are NOT the bosses?" and she said, "Maddie Kate and Ava and Cohen." and I said, "That's right." Then she said, "And not the dogs." I almost lost it! So I sent her on her way and looked up at Johnny who had been watching, and he made a sad face and said, "Not the dogs!" We laughed forever! That's the problem with her, she's so funny, that even when she is in enormous trouble and you are so upset with her, she makes you laugh, and it's hard to punish her!

Ali's Senior Session

This session went wonderfully! I don't think Ali took a bad picture the whole time, so it was very hard to narrow down the ones I wanted to proof! We started off inside and then went outside and froze, but I think Ali did a good job of not looking like she was freezing! Here's Ali:

Kelly & Cody are Married!

This wedding was special because it was held at Camp Hope, where I went to camp my whole life, and where Johnny and I met back in 5th grade! In fact, I think both our parents originally met each other at Camp Hope too, so it's a very special place...pretty much important to all our lives!! Anyway, this was the first wedding I have ever photographed there, and I didn't know how it would go...but it turned out just beautiful! It was perfect with all the fall leaves everywhere, and they had decorated the gym so pretty that you couldn't hardly tell it was the gym!

I am so excited! My new laptop finally came today! I have been waiting for a few weeks, I originally thought I would have it within about 5 days, back in mid-November, then it got pushed back to mid-December! It was an ordeal, but I got Dell to expedite it, and it came today, so as soon as I can get my computer guru brother over here to help me get it all set up and networked, I'll be ready to go! It should be much faster than my old laptop, so maybe my editing and things will go quicker and smoother from now on! Yeah!
